Bir is a small town in northern Himachal Pradesh, with the Dhauladhar range of the Indian Himalayas as a backdrop. This place is famous in the travel community for paragliding activities. The launch site is located 18 km north of Billings Meadows at an altitude of 2400 m. Paragliders land on Chogan at the south end of the building. Therefore, the names of his two places conjugated are used as Bir Billing. Bir Billing is also known for its unique Tibetan culture and soulful Tibetan monasteries in scenic and peaceful surroundings. You can book Bir Billing Tour Packages from Banbanjara Travels.

Things to do in Bir Billing:

1. Paragliding:

Of course, this is the highlight of his attraction for thrill-seekers in Bir Billing. A certified pilot can bring his own glider and fly solo, while a beginner can join his flight in tandem.

Here pilots steer gliders and tourists simply sit back and enjoy a bird’s eye view of the land below. Bir Billing has several paragliding operators and prices vary depending on trip length and bargains.

A stay in the air of 20-25 minutes will cost approximately INR 2500. The operator also offers GoPro cameras for an additional fee. This is a must if there are no tourists there. Flight season is from September to November

In addition to entertainment, the village also regularly hosts international conventions and events.

2. Indulge in Other Adventure Sports:

Bir Billing also offers bungee jumping, rock climbing and Burma Bridge with Temple Run Adventure. Bangla Falls, about 5 km from the building, is a small but beautiful waterfall.

Adventure Sports Company is based at this location. Few tourists enjoy mountain biking or hang gliding. Bir Bazar has agencies and shops that rent bicycles. There are also experienced riders who accompany tourists.

Besides brawny adventure sports, leisurely walks along the banks of the Bir River are also popular with tourists. The serenity of the experience soothes travellers seeking peace and tranquillity.

3. Explore the monasteries:

At an altitude of 1525 metres, the monastery and shedra (monastery) of Bir Billing, which is in the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, has always fascinated me. Parupunscherabring Monastery is he one of the oldest monasteries in Bill. The monastery is located in Batu, about 6 km from the Tibetan Colony Market. Spread over 30 hectares, the monastery has 250 monks’ chambers, 3 shrine halls and 6 shrine rooms, all featuring traditional Tibetan architecture. We offer both long and short courses in meditation and yoga.

There is a cafe on the grounds of Tsering Zhong Monastery. The fluttering prayer flags and the chants of the monks in unison heal the hearts and souls of travellers visiting here.

4. Volunteer at the Dharmalaya Institute:

The Dharmalaya Institute is a non-governmental organisation dedicated to education, service and compassionate living, focusing on sustainable village development, meditative service learning and immersive ecotourism. It has a practical focus.

The institute organises placements and workcamps that provide long-term opportunities for students and volunteers to engage in organic farming, green trade training for local villagers, reforestation projects, and more. After monks working on different subjects such as teaching Buddhist culture, yoga and meditation techniques. Visitors can learn meditation techniques at the Deer Park Institute.

5. Go Trekking:

has two beautiful treks for enthusiasts, the Tattani and Hanuman Garh treks. Tattani (also known as Tattani) is famous for its natural sulphur hot springs erupting up to 65 degrees Celsius. This place should not be confused with Tattapani in Mandi which is also in Himachal Pradesh.

The hot water has a healing effect and soothes people suffering from joint pain and skin diseases. This place is not only a great place to have fun and relax, but it is also a religiously sacred place. On Baisakhi Day (April), sacred bathing is performed during the great agricultural festival. The trek to Tattani starts from the village of Bari.

The road to this waterfall is very easy and leads to Gunehar village. The pristine surroundings provide stunning images to show off via social media.

6. An Ancient Tradition Yoga Experience:

Tourists can spend a relaxing time at his AryaMarga Yoga Retreat. This place evokes the ancient principles of yoga and offers separate programs related to his four stages of yoga: Hatha, Mantra, Kundalini and Samadhi. There are various courses based solely on specific techniques based on physical, mental and sensory health.

7. Camping at Billing:

Even if tourists aren’t interested in paragliding, the launch site offers exceptional sunset views. The sky glows with different shades of orange and pink, and the mountains in the background make for a truly beautiful sight.
